My ticker and news feed are not updating, despite me logging out, clearing my cache, trying different browsers, et cetera.I'm well aware that multiple users are having this issue and have sent off three emails thus far requesting some form of technical support, and nothing such far. We’ve received some reports of users noticing that their feeds subscription stop updating after upgrades. Our investigations show that these tend to occur after upgrades from one pre-release build of Windows Vista to another version.Clearly Microsoft is worried about the security researchers’ findings, and has issued a “Fix It Tool” which will protect Windows 7 and Vista users by entirely disabling the Windows Sidebar and Gadgets functionality. Microsoft hasn’t issued a security patch to fix the vulnerability. They’re suggesting you completely nuke your Windows Sidebar and Gadgets. If your issue is not on our Support Blog, please contact us so we can fix it for you as soon as possible.
You can have all of your feeds in one Gadget multiple RSS Feed Gadgets on the Sidebar at one time.
RSS, sometimes known as Really Simple Syndication, is a popular means of sharing content (such as news and events) without requiring readers to constantly visit a Web site to see what's new.
RSS feeds contain headlines and hyperlinks to longer articles or Web pages.
Which is bad news if you found those sidebar gadgets useful.
You better find a new way to tell what time it is, or catch the latest from your favourite RSS feeds.
