Figure 4: Solution Explorer If you open the Employees Controller class you will see the various action methods for adding, updating and deleting employees.Figure 5: The Employees Controller class You can, of course, modify this code to meet your specific requirements. Now let's use the generated action methods and views to add some data in the Employees table.Recollect that you have already designed a database table in an SQL Express database. In my initial blog post I introduced EF “code-first” and demonstrated how to use the default EF4 mapping conventions to create a new database. These default conventions work very well for new applications, and enable you to avoid having to explicitly configure anything in order to map classes to/from a database.NOTE: If you don't specify the connection string in the web.config file, a new database will be created with the name same as the fully qualified name of data context class i.e. For example, you can scaffold only views or only data context class.
Add Make sure to change the database connection string as per the setup at your end.I tried "run custom tool" but it has not generated the class. But Keep in mind that still EF 6.0 not able to make Scaffolding when 'creating controller and view using entityframework' in MVC with this viersion of VS2012.Also have restarted the Visual Studio but result is the same. You must Use EF 5.0 or update VS2012 with new update. Normally auto code generation works for me fine but this time I added the entity edmx to an ASP.Now, in "Model Browser" under "Entity Types" for model, I can see the table name exists. But in Solution Explorer it is not showing the auto-generated file for the table I have added newly under file.
